Air Training Corps (ATC) FAQ

Q: What age does my son/daughter have to be to join the ATC?
A: Cadets must be aged 12 and in year 8.

Q: What is the maximum age?
A: Cadets cannot join after their 17th birthday, but if they join as a cadet prior to their 17th birthday they can stay in the corps until the age of 20.

Q: What happens after I reach 20?
A: You may at this age apply to be a staff member.

Q: Does the ATC accept boys and girls?
A: Yes, equal opportunities are given to both boys and girls.

Q: What about disabilities, can we join?
A: Absolutely.
